Posted: 26 Jan 2021 10:20 PM PST I am certain my roommate is stealing from me, in order to build a case I would like some indisputable evidence. What is a good hidden camera or a method to hide a basic nanny camera? I am looking for something I can check while away from home & preferably battery powered. Our shared common area is very open. Something on top of the cabinets or in a upper corner of the room that wouldn't look suspicious would work well to view the whole area. I'm not sure of the legality for hidden cameras but I do own the property, so hopefully that gives me the stance to protect my property. | Posted: 26 Jan 2021 04:17 PM PST Bought a home that has 8 cameras (Honeywell HBD1PR1) already installed. The Ethernet cables are all sticking out of a hole in the wall so I think all I need to do is buy an NVR. Getting a little overwhelmed looking at options. I mostly want something that is easy to set up, and will connect to my cell phone, send alerts when there's movement, and save video for 4 weeks. Any recommendations? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 26 Jan 2021 10:26 AM PST I'm moving into my first home in a couple weeks, it's not in the best area and I'd like to have monitors set up on the wall that I can glance at before going out to the garage or the car or something. (More concerned for my wife.) Would prefer not to have to get my phone out and go to it every time, but just to have them up on the wall. Anyone do anything like this? Any suggestions? I would like to be able to easily (automatically) self host the footage. Are there any cameras that could potentially connect to my cell phone to automatically upload the footage to a server in my home. | Recommendation for a good camera with a battery backup Posted: 26 Jan 2021 08:42 AM PST I'm looking for a good indoor wifi cam that can be plugged in to a wall outlet but also switch over to a battery backup in case of a power outage. Being able to record offline to an SD card is also necessary too. If anyone knows of anything like that on the market I'd appreciate it. My only other option right now is looking into buying an uninterruptible power supply to plug the camera in to but I'd prefer something more integrated if possible. [link] [comments] |
| Simon XTi not recognizing any sensors Posted: 26 Jan 2021 06:11 AM PST Hello, I have a Simon XTi that just stop recognizing all of the sensors in the house, I been looking into just reprogramming each sensor in the house but thought there may be an easier way or recommendation on something else to try before going threw this task.
