Help Enrolling Wireless Zones into RFK5501 / PC1616 Posted: 07 Nov 2020 04:26 PM PST Hi guys, I picked up some wireless sensors to enroll into my RFK5501. I current have 4 wired zone. Zone 1 - Motion Sensor - 05 Zone 2 - Froont Door - 01 Zone 3 - Garage Door - 01 Zone 4 - Patio Door - 03 I want to add three moor wireless zone for 7 total. Zone 5 - Ground Floor Windows - 03 Zone 6 - Ground Floor Windows - 03 Zone 6 - Garage Overhead - 01 I have a couple question about the actual programming of this. Do I need to create the zones before trying to assign serial numbers to them? How does I add the to a specific slot into a partition? I'm using partition 1 for my 4 wired zones. To enroll the wireless sensor I'm using the following combination: *8 5555 804 - Those get into wireless programming. The next section asks for subsections and I'm not sure what that is. I believe this is the partition - so 01. *8 5555 804 01 SERIAL SEQUENCE 003 I'm not sure what else to do from here? The instructions say I need to install a wireless zone attribute or something like that but I'm not sure when or where to add that step. Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Nov 2020 11:50 AM PST We moved into a home earlier this year and I'm trying to identify the front door camera, or more importantly the function of the cable running to the front door camera, so that I can replace it. I honestly can't tell whether it's a power cable, or network, or what. I've tried to post here with a link to Imgur with images of it, but the post keeps getting banned. Any suggestions on how best to figure out what the cable is? (I don't want to just cut it & leave the spot open — would rather figure it out first) TIA [link] [comments] |
"Smart" system + wired sensors? New build Posted: 07 Nov 2020 07:11 AM PST I am trying to find something for wired window/door/motion sensors that will allow me to access the system with my phone, preferably something I can tie into my own z-wave/zigbee automation hub. Any help? [link] [comments] |
