Neighbor Using Bluetooth Jammer, seeking recommendations

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 09:51 AM PDT

I live in an apartment complex and my next door neighbor uses a wifi jammer to disconnect devices and attempts to connect to them. ive received notifications with his full name attempting to connect. In speaking with other neighbors he does this to prank them and has been successful in disrupting their headsets.

He's a passive aggressive guy and doesn't answer his door when i confront him. He also hides when called. Thoughts on preventing this from happening? I doubt that law enforcement would want to take this up and the apartment complex says this is something we should work through as neighbors.

Its disruptive, especially when working from. I've seen a lot of chatter about jamming devices and how easily accessible they are, but nothing about proofing them from being disrupted. Other than switching to hard wired solutions, i wanted to get your thoughts on what else can be done.

UK based - considering a Blink system but reading all sorts - anything else most robust that doesn't cost the earth?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 05:03 AM PDT

    Hi all,

Hope this is the right place to be asking. I'm looking at upping home security and (close) to getting a Blink 3 camera system (I need 3 cameras for coverage).

Now I'm reading a lot of good about Amazon Blink... but also a lot of bad: poor connectivity, unreliable motion sensors etc. etc. - possibly basic stuff that a system should come with, right?

I'm an amateur - not going to lie - and don't have the money or experience to go for some of the crazier set ups and I don't want to tear the house apart to wire in something complex either.

My budget for a 3 camera system is around £200 to £250 (the Blink system is £259 on Amazon right now).

Do I have any options worth considering here in my price / skill range?

    Thanks!

Any suggestions for an affordable wireless security system that doesn't require a subscription or monthly fee?

Hello there! I just moved into a place where I'm alone for the first time ever. I live in a pretty safe area but I am still worried just because I can't really hear anything downstairs when my AC is going.

Any help is appreciated, thank you so much.

    Dahua equipment AliExpress

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 11:41 AM PDT

    Hi there,

This is going to be my first IP cameras setup for my house and I've found these cameras.

    4 of these | Dahua IPC-HDBW4631R-AS 6MP IP Camera IK10 IP67 IR30M built-in SD card Audio and Alarm interface HDBW4631R-AS POE camera https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqwebaT

2 of these Dahua IPC-HDBW4631R-ZS IP Camera 2.7mm ~13.5mm varifocal motorized lens 6MP IR50M with sd Card slot POE network camera https://a.aliexpress.com/_mtK5h7d

And this NVR Dahua 4K NVR NVR4108-8P-4KS2 8CH with 8 POE NVR4116-8P-4KS2 16ch with 8PoE ports Lite Network Video Recorder https://a.aliexpress.com/_msMGfVv

Can I get some thoughts on whether this is a good set of equipment to get?

The seller said that the cameras can't be upgraded? What does that mean? Is it going to be open to security issues?

Also, how do domes perform in morning/evening direct sunlight shining at them?

I'm planning of connecting up a outdoors speaker with mic can I power the speaker from the 12V power cable from the Camera while the camera itself is being pressured by the camera?

All advice will be highly valuable

    Thanks in advance

AI home security (w/Zero false motion alerts and NO cloud monthly fees) exist..? *What’s your setup*

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 09:41 AM PDT

I recently ordered Reolink 4k 4cam nvr poe system since amazon had it on sale for $400 instead of the $530 price. Aware of the main cons that this system has no motion alerts, more of a 24/7 surveillance as well as awful night vision (basically gotta include cost of purchasing both motion flood lights and mics if you wanna complete setup for each camera) but gotta be able to see at night..right? If I decide to return I've only got two more weeks to get money back.

** Is there not a system out there that I can purchase that has a real AI intelligent motion sensing camera setup with its own NVR*? •I'm looking for a system that my wife and I could easily check on our iphone, whether app or internet page exp. safari, chrome, etc •Real AI Intelligence = no false motion alerts •Can see at night with out floodlights (not issue if needed to supply though) •Zero Cloud storage (only personal playback recording with NVR or anything else that's out there) •Simple enough setup (that I won't need to spend hours learning how to setup=unless there's a straight up step by step for dummies that could walk me through each and every step to help get cams and recording setup as they should be) •(Only if it's actually possible) would love to have at least one camera that could record license plates "at night" roughly 50' away *

Basically just Mainly want NO false motion alerts or monthly fees. I'm aware 98% of cameras are made in China but I don't want anything that's able to collect my data and most certainly I refuse to pay for any cloud storage, just can't justify paying a company to collect my data and spy on my family. Even free cloud storage like Wyze freaks me out. Ain't nothing free about that. Please let me know you'll if there's anything you'd recommend that's better than Reolink as well as still being simple to setup. I only have a Apple iOS computer at home, afraid i don't own a Microsoft/windows but possibly would if it was needed. My wife and I have struggled to even learn and navigate computers in general so if went computer route we'd definitely need a "for dummies step by step setup" just being honest. Lol hope we're not a loss cause. Hoping to hear what you'll recommend as well as your own personal setups you preferred using. Thanks REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT & TIME

    LED motion light experience?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 07:25 AM PDT

Moving to a new place and would like to setup some motion lights around the entrance. Unfortunately, there is no way I can hardwire any electrical lights. I've seen some stickon motion LED lights like Mr Beams or these solar lights on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Enhanced-Waterproof-Wireless-270%C2%B0Wide-Install/dp/B079BX1R5D/ref=psdc_495238_t1_B012ZPKNFE

Anyone have any recommendations for non-hardwired lights that would be bright enough?
