Is it worth monitoring windows which are always locked?

I have 24 opening windows in my home, all ground level

Is it worth monitoring all of these, even if they are always locked all the time?

I live in the Uk so ideally would like something simple that works, Not bothered about wireless really just want real time and 24 hr recording.

Which Home Security System is the best?

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:21 AM PDT

So i want a DIFM solution because I know I can trust it, and so far the companies below have what I'm looking for.

I read a bunch of reviews online but all of it is kind of jumbled and can't decide on a winner. Really want to purchase this so I can get the installation underway ASAP.

My needs: home security - recorded cameras, video doorbell, window and door sensors.

Would be cool to have: home automation integrations/products

    Dry contact monitor?

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 09:38 AM PDT

    Hi,

Has anyone got or used some hardware that can monitor no/nc contacts? Or an add in card for a server to utilise?

    Thanks.

Lorex NVR - how to connect coax

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 09:26 PM PDT

So I know this is in home defense sub, but don't know where else to put. This is actually for a convenience store.

So we used to have cash register overlays on our camera system using previous DVR. This would work through coax and sit on top of whichever camera we chose and we could see everything that was being entered into the POS register.

We just upgraded to an IP system through Lorex and have an NVR. However, now the overlay can not be used with the NVR. Attempted a converter but it looks like output must be 1080p and the NVR is 4K. Would anyone have any suggestions or advice?
