I was robbed did my wifi router keep any logs about which devices came into range that night ? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 05:09 AM PST I wanna help the police. This is a huge case with 7 departments working on it any help will be appreciated. So I have a Jio wifi router which my ISP provided I can look up the model that they use and I have another repeter connected to it which is a xiomi miwifi router. I was wondering when the perpetrators 8-9 in number came into the house did their Mac Ids or something anything got recorded into the logs of these 2 routers. They didn't connect to the home wifi but I wanted to ask that even if you don't connect to routers do they keep any logs or any kind of information about the devicea that came into range. POE camera with color night vision? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 04:19 PM PST Had someone rummage through our car last night. Caught a decent shot of their face on camera, but between the snow and the b/w night vision, it's hard to make out. A friend down the street caught the same guy on their doorbell cam with color night vision and the difference is like night and day (pun intended). Unfortunately the only cameras Reolink has (my current cameras are all Reolink) that have color night vision are their Argus wireless line. I'd rather stick with POE if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks! [link] [comments]

I need a camera for my bedroom Posted: 25 Dec 2020 04:49 AM PST I would like to get a small camera that is inexpensive that will record to a laptop. I have a small issue at home with my step father and need proof to show my mom. He has been in my room and has gone through my underwear drawer. I have had panties that showed up missing when i know they were there [link] [comments]
2GIG GC3E Panel and Linear Garage Door Posted: 25 Dec 2020 12:54 PM PST Trying to figure out how to install my Linear LD033 garage door opener to my GC3E panel. It was previously installed and working (could open and close door with panel). I was screwing around and accidently deleted it. But can't figure out how to reinstall. (I have the installer code). Does the garage door opener have to be ZWave to work with the GC3e panel? I don't see a Z Wave controller as part of the garage door opener. Whenever I select 'add device' it says it's listening, I hit the learn mode on the opener, but nothing. Appreciate any help. [link] [comments]
DSC Powerseries 18XX touchscreen keypad options Posted: 24 Dec 2020 06:22 PM PST I was looking at touchscreen keypad options for the DSC Powerseries 1832/1864. PTK5507 seems to be the only option here. Is it possible to use the Envisalink to control the powerseries through a different third-party touchscreen ? Also what's the most common HA system with DSC - is it HomeSeer or Home-Assistant? [link] [comments]
What’s the best video surveillance systems for perimeter protection? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 07:22 AM PST I need to protect a part of my area that extends around 300 ft by 750 ft which is surrounded by a 7 ft high wooden fence. Something that can easily detect even hard to see objects that are thrown over the fence and is able to accurately identify it and notify me when that happens. I'm planning on setting up 3 camera systems to monitor the 3 sides of my perimeter. So far, Hikvision seems to provide all that at a very high level which makes sense considering they're the largest suppliers of video surveillance systems but I'm wondering if there are other companies that can compete and offer the same thing.
