    CCTV audio (BNC)

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 04:05 PM PST

Hi lads, noob question here as I can't find a definite answer on the internet.

I have a DVR which has only one audio input however I have cctv on the front and back of my house (using BNC cable).

Is BNC cable capable of receiving audio as well as video? Asking before ordering parts to connect up. Cheers

Looking for a replacement LED ring board for a reolink bullet camera

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 02:33 PM PST

Had a leak and the water killed the LED board but the camera is still working perfectly, asking if anyone has the opposite with a dead camera but good LEDs, Ill pay shipping if you can pull the board and drop it in a envelope. I've tried finding a replacement but without the right board it wont go into low light mode automatically so I cant just get a external light. The board has a 2 pin PIR sensor which I just ordered one from aliexpress as a last resort if nobody has a led ring. Thanks.

Are corner lots more prone to break ins?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2020 04:56 PM PST

I read somewhere that corner lots are more prone to burglary. Any merit/data behind this?

Are there special considerations that need to be made to deter/defend a corner lot over one that's not?

Cheap security camera for apartment door?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 01:58 PM PST

I live in an apartment and I just want something to mount on our apartment door if I can? Something that will send notifications to my phone? We've been having break ins around the area and sketchy behavior, and I'm worried. My apartment complex isn't going to do much so I figured I will. It's within a hallway, so it isn't outside.

    ADT cameras without ADT

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 01:33 PM PST

Hello, I'm regrettably new to this sub.

I'm moving to a new house and ADT won't simply let me take my equipment. I've seen some threads about using the motion sensors with other companies, but is there a way to take the cameras with my and use them without ADT service? I paid for these and should be able to take them with me.

    I've got:

    RC8326 security camera

    DBC835 doorbell camera

    ISG-100 Z wave Cloud Link

NVR system with a wifi doorbell

    Posted: 19 Dec 2020 07:55 PM PST

Currently using a blink system and have used arlo in the past. I'm tired of swapping batteries and dealing with the random disconnects.

I am looking at a 4-8 camera poe system (amcrest, lorex, etc), but the doorbell can't be hardwired poe. I can get 12v power there for a wifi doorbell.

All I really need is to get push notifications and a way to either see a picture or short video clip of the motion. We just use it as a way to keep an eye on things around the house, packages, contractors, etc.

What system has a decent/good app and can sync the poe cameras with the wifi doorbell camera fairly seamlessly. Is really prefer to have only one app for cameras. If it helps, I already have a synology nas on the network so I could use surveillance station if that's the best route.

I think this is an old ADT alarm siren, but I'm not sure. Can someone verify? Also if it is, do you know if we can remove them?
