    Outside door lock

    Posted: 21 Oct 2020 01:56 PM PDT

    Hello,

I am looking for something to protect my home.

For the inside, I am familiar with door barricades and apartment locks

    Door Barricades

Is there any device that will prevent someone from opening my door after I leave the home?

Please provide solutions for a broke student, thx.

    Weird ask:

I'm not on here advocating using throwing knives in a self defense situation. I know the training and timing requirements and physics of throwing a knife make them super impractical for self defense use, even holding the knife would be better in most cases.

But I remember seeing this knife a while ago that I'm having the worst time trying to find again. It was a dart like device with like a weight in the middle and a bit of a space after it and the knife, I remember seeing videos of it that once you practiced with it for a day or so it was easy to get the hang of because it didn't rotate, you threw it like a Javelin, so it's less about nailing the rotations and more about aiming correctly.

Does anybody know what the hell this thing is? My Google Fu is failing me and search terms don't seem to return what I'm looking for.

Can someone help me with what bare minimum services I need running?
I have three cameras, through a switch, into the router, and the router is wired to the PC. All I want to do is run the client. I have motion detection setup for recording. Its using several GB of ram all together, and Im wondering what I can trim down. I see all kinds of milestone stuff running. Thanks.
