Doors with State Department Forced Entry certification - practical or necessary? Posted: 14 Dec 2020 04:20 AM PST For a civilian household, would installing doors that are State Department level certification serve practical or realistic use? The certification standard is used by the Diplomatic Security Bureau of the State Department, presumably for embassies and other properties under State worldwide. The most basic certification would resist attack for 5 minutes on at least 3 door points and consists of 0.5 man-hours of attack time as a team of 2 would work together. There are also 15 minute and 60 minute certifications. Although cost likely presents a barrier (would be in the range of thousands of dollars), would installing such doors be warranted for high-crime areas or properties that face a high degree of threat? Floureon System Won't Recognize Drives Posted: 14 Dec 2020 12:19 PM PST As the title says, I've tried about 5 drives now and none of them detect. Any ideas? They're all older drives from around 2013 and up ranging from 250GB-2TB but nothing seems to work. Does filesystem matter? I thought it wouldn't because the DVR is supposed to format it once it detects it. [link] [comments] |
Which Security System is the Better Buy? Posted: 13 Dec 2020 09:59 PM PST I don't know everything about security systems but I am a very tech savvy person, but I don't know much about the security system brands and don't want to act like a know it all person which is why I'm posting. The two links are provided below, Lorex vs Swann, one has 6 cameras, one has 4, both are NVR 4k 8MP cameras. Professionals, tell me your opinions! Also, I do know that I want an NVR system because the picture/video quality is superior and it has audio. [link] [comments] |
Its almost 2021. How does Blur Iris not yet support SFTP? Posted: 14 Dec 2020 11:13 AM PST Since its now pretty much purchase + subscription, which I have been paying, I'd love to at least get standards that have been around for decades Its getting pretty annoying. [link] [comments] |
