2Gig Panel trigger alarm when sensor left open for set time Posted: 20 Dec 2020 04:30 PM PST I recently left the freezer door open a crack for 10 hours and would like to prevent it from happening again. If I put a door/window contact sensor on the door can I have ot trigger an alarm after a certain amount of time? I don't have central monitoring so that isn't a concern. I have a Link Interactive 2gig setup. [link] [comments] |
DSC WS4975 replacement or alternatives Posted: 20 Dec 2020 02:45 PM PST Greetings, I had a new patio door installed and forgot to take off the wireless vanishing contact. Trying to locate on in the UK is proving difficult. Seen some in US but the shipping makes it expensive. Does anyone know where I can purchase the EU 433 version?. New or used is ok please. Thanks [link] [comments] |
need replacement dvr for existing system Posted: 20 Dec 2020 06:58 AM PST hello everyone, my parents have this 15ish year old analog security system that has worked well for them, but the dvr appliance died on them a couple weeks ago. i was originally just going to upgrade everything to poe ip cams but, something came up and thats going to be a few more months out than i originally thought. so, in the in the mean time i am looking for a replacement DVR that will get them by for a few more months. they have an existing "KPD Series MPEG4 DVR" which looks like: https://photos.app.goo.gl/wbYKCwieeTKxRUTj7 - front https://photos.app.goo.gl/fskUd8jpNpYsZgoE9 - rear https://photos.app.goo.gl/7Aqzhppn7fqshqEAA these are the cameras they are using: https://photos.app.goo.gl/tw3dhhxo4tgWqmZu7 - label https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZKVedb4jqoiqDQjn9 - side https://photos.app.goo.gl/UTMbRnEBqJN78iMK6 - side 2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/mW61E5dMMvfK8DYC7 - front https://photos.app.goo.gl/Kb9i2JhjadeK1A8f9 - data/power connector if i go to amazon, and order something like this: https://www.amazon.com/ZOSI-Channels-Security-Detection-Recorder/dp/B07LGX31WK/ will it be compatible with their existing cameras? i understand i will have to setup everything again, detect cameras, etc.. im just not very well versed in this analog systems, and not sure if there will be compatibility issues. would i be better off looking for a different dvr? im looking to stay pretty cheap at or around $100 bucks. remember this is just a temporary setup until we can get the stuff together for a new poe ip cam setup thanks for the help!
