Anybody know any relatively cheap small motion activated cameras for indoor use sold on Amazon Posted: 02 Apr 2020 03:15 AM PDT There have been a few break ins around my area and I'm looking for a camera that I can sit facing my front door. I'm having issues finding one that I can plug into my computer using micro USB to transfer the videos instead of wirelessly If anybody could recommend any that would be nice [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Apr 2020 05:00 AM PDT Hey folks, I have a problem eith spiders spinning webs on my cameras blocking the lense. Has anyone ekse had this and how did you fix it? I have heard of putting a thin layer of vaseline on the camera so spiders cant walk on them, any other ideas? Cheers for the help! 👍😊 [link] [comments] |
2gig Panel after canceling protection one Posted: 01 Apr 2020 04:59 PM PDT Hello I have just canceled (after fulfilling) my contract with protection one. I have a left over 2gig panel that I purchased via protection one and was wondering if I could utilize it in setting up my own home security system. If it is possible what would be some good options going forward with this? Cheers! [link] [comments] |
Indoor security camera with no audio feature Posted: 01 Apr 2020 06:57 AM PDT I want to post an indoor camera at the assisted living facility where my Dad lives. He's a fall risk so we want to be able to check in on him remotely throughout the day. Our facility allows a camera but only if the camera has video only with no audio. They won't allow us to install a camera with a microphone eve if audio is turned off. Is there an easy-to-use, off the shelf system that fits the bill here? We had Wyze installed at it worked well enough but they asked us to remove it because of the audio. I'd prefer not to go the DIY approach with Shinobi or anything. Need something that's easy to install and set up. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Are these knock off Dahuas or are they just missing from their site? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 01:36 PM PDT So I bought a couple of Dahua IPC-HDBW4433R-ZS camera's from Amazon. On was from the warehouse and one was new. One is a IPC-HDBW4433R-ZS as expected, while the other is a IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS. I tried to find the difference between these but not having much luck. I also can't find out if there is updated firmware as it's neither is listed on Dahua's site. Are there any sites where I can look up the details? And is there a good source to get the latest firmware? [link] [comments] |
Help with choosing a DIY system Posted: 01 Apr 2020 10:46 AM PDT I have been researching different DIY home security systems Ring, SimpliSafe, Cove, Frontpoint. The Cove was the cheapest, plus as a veteran they were giving me 6 months free monitor. But I don't know anything about that company. I like to get opinions and experiences with these systems.
