Home security: Can RING be 'hacked' by ex-husband? |
Can RING be 'hacked' by ex-husband? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 11:17 PM PST Long story short, originally started with just the doorbell... Now have 3 outdoor & 8 inside (every room) which was the only way to keep myself safe from my husband of 20 years who has a mental disorder which escalated. My question is, he has been cut off from being able to have access to ring, but does not do well not having control, & works out of the country. I see emails from Vivnet which has me concerned....I've researched a bit which seems like if I understand correctly, can only work if someone comes out to set up a plan. Am I correct? I have two-part authentication enabled, but I'm still worried. I change my password weekly, which may excessive, but I don't care. Can anyone help me out with this? Is there ANY WAY someone (obviously not counting uber start creepy living in mom's basement hackers) can access through another service? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
