Posted: 28 Jun 2020 11:46 PM PDT I have the LorexEcoStratus system and have had it for two years. I hate it and want a new system. The delay is awful I know nothing about it other than my experience using it. I live in a rough area but not as rough as surrounding areas. I need indoor cameras as well as outdoors my house is setup in a L shape with an attached screened in porch. There's little to no lighting down my street or the street behind me. I don't wanna break the bank but I have a family I love and care for. Help me. Please list links to cameras and any advice. [link] [comments] |

How can avoid having 3 security camera apps? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 10:13 AM PDT We are about to move into a new house that has a street in front, an alley in the back and shared pathways on either side. Read: Lots of possible break-in points. After a lot of research, we decided to go with Simplisafe for our security system. We bought while they were running a promotion, so we ended up with a free wired, indoor camera. That would be app #1 Now we need a doorbell camera. We really want to be able to check who is at the door using our Echo Show, which doesn't work with Simplisafe so we will probably get an Arlo or Ring doorbell. That would be app #2 Then we want T least 3 exterior cameras to watch the the alley and sides without running electrical or needing a second mortgage. For that, the Blink XT2 multipack seems like the best option. That would be app #3. Is there a simpler, more elegant solution to this that I am missing? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 10:24 AM PDT We recently sold our house and the buyer wants to keep the Vivint equipment (non-negotiable), but she hasn't made it clear whether she is willing to take over the monitoring contract or not. There is approximately 1 year left on the 5 year contract. Basically I'm wondering what my options are if she doesn't take over the contract? I have to leave the equipment, so I'm wondering...
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!! [link] [comments] |
Need compatible DVR for IP cameras Posted: 28 Jun 2020 02:10 PM PDT I have 11 IP cameras set up on my network, and I'm looking for a DVR that will support the recording and viewing of the footage. The DVR I'm currently considering is the Hilook DVR-208Q-K1, which supports up to 12 ch 6 MP IP cameras input. Will this DVR be able to support my camera setup?
