Posted: 16 Dec 2020 06:07 PM PST I'm trying to find a solution for my great grandmother to have an exterior camera on her door without a router/hole WiFi. I was thinking a wireless or fixed screen somewhere in the house or potentially using her IPhone, but I have been unable to find a solution. I thought there would be a camera/view screen Bluetooth option but I cannot find anything. [link] [comments] |
Can you recommend a Solar Wifi Camera with low notification delays? Posted: 16 Dec 2020 10:23 PM PST I can install wifi repeaters as needed. I do have a stable upload speed. But can you please recommend cameras based on your knowledge? I currently have: Blink Cameras: Delay is considerable, not so much with the notification but accessing the live stream while the intruder is detected. I even receive a lot of "camera busy" errors while being side to side with the sync module and the router. Hikvision: Mine are wired, all good with this system but after an app update I stopped receiving notifications. I basically live on a rocky mountain and I cannot afford to wire the driveway because of the huge amount of effort required to pass the cable properly. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Dec 2020 02:34 PM PST I just had my business broken into last week and am now in the market to get a security system. I don't need anything fancy, just something that makes a whole lot of noise if an intruder comes in. Don't need a company or the police to be notified, just really want this as a deterrent. Any and all suggestions welcome! Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Basic, cheap indoor camera for sighthound video Posted: 16 Dec 2020 05:43 PM PST I'm trying to find a simple indoor, wifi, mains powered camera for connecting to Sighthound Video. Seems like most cameras these days have their own server/app setup and cannot be accessed directly via their local IP address. Apparently I need one that supports RTSP and ONVIF, and preferably one that can be bought in NZ (or Aus) Does anyone here have experience or recommendations? [link] [comments] |
